Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed September 15, 2026

Salas Outdoor wants this site to work for everyone who wants to look at a backyard project, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard on its own, magnification, or a browser set to reduce motion. This page says what we have done, what we are still working on, and how to tell us when something is not working.

The standard we build to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced in the United States, including by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance and by California state policy.

What is in place

  • A skip to main content link as the first thing you reach with the keyboard, so you can jump past the navigation.
  • Proper landmark regions for the header, navigation, main content and footer, so a screen reader can move between them.
  • One main heading per page, with heading levels that descend in order and never skip a level.
  • A navigation menu that opens, closes and cycles with the keyboard. Escape closes it and returns focus to the button that opened it.
  • A visible focus outline on every link, button and form field. We have not removed focus styling anywhere.
  • Descriptive alt text on every photograph, written to describe what is actually in the frame rather than repeating the page title.
  • Colour contrast checked against the brand colours. Body text sits at or above a 4.5 to 1 ratio, and large text and interface elements at or above 3 to 1.
  • Form fields with real labels attached to them, and error messages announced rather than signalled only by colour.
  • Touch and click targets at least 24 pixels, and the mobile call bar at a comfortable thumb size.
  • Animation and transitions switch off automatically when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Frequently asked questions built from native disclosure elements, so they open and close without needing JavaScript to run.

Known limitations

The project galleries are large. On a slow connection, loading several hundred photographs takes time even though images load progressively as you scroll. If the gallery is hard to use for you, email us and we will send photographs of the kind of work you are interested in directly.

The Cloudflare Turnstile check on the contact form is a third party component. If it causes you any difficulty, please use the email address below instead. We would much rather hear from you than have a form get in your way.

Getting in touch another way

Nothing on this site has to be used to reach us. Email info@salasconcrete.com and we will find another way to help.

Tell us if something is wrong

If any part of this site blocks you, we want to know. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened, along with the browser or assistive technology you were using if you know it. We will reply and we will fix it.

Use the contact details above.
